The 2012 Canadian Senior Elite will showcase the best Canadian boxers - male and female - as they vie for the Canadian Senior Boxing title. As provincial associations gear up to host their provincial championships, Cape Breton waits in anticipation to see who will be coming to the Island for this prestigious event.

Mark your calendar to attend this national competition - January 10 - 14, 2012.

Here are the highlights:

• 250 male and female boxers, in five days of fast-paced, amateur boxing matches
• Celebrity boxers - stay tuned for exciting announcements on famed Canadian and International guests!
• Dinner Theatre production: Rockabye Baby - the story of George 'Rockabye' Ross
• Exciting opening and closing ceremonies featuring the best of Cape Breton Island entertainment
• Local pub nights celebrating all that is boxing

The event will be 'live' at Membertou Trade and Convention Centre (MTCC), Sydney's premier entertainment centre. Your comfort and enjoyment will be well looked after, with every amenity available throughout the event.

Hotels are located just minutes from MTCC and we will provide non-stop shuttles for all participants.
